IAA 2017: ATS elaborates on Value & Security of Automotive Over-the-Air Updates
IAA 2017, Germany's international automotive tradeshow based in Frankfurt will run until the end of the week. The New Mobility World conference (NMW), which ended on Sunday, was the place at IAA where technology firms, the automobile industry and startups discussed the future of mobility. ATS Chief Analyst, Timo Littke, was invited by the organizers of NMW to provide some insights into state-of-the-art automotive cyber security. In his talk "Value & Security of Automotive Over-the-Air (OTA) Updates“ on the center stage, he illustrated the achievements of OEMs to catch up with Tesla´s outstanding OTA-capabilities. In his conclusion, Littke stresses the value of software updates over-the-air, emphasizing the requirement for highest data security standards, such as the Uptane security framework.
